Founded in 2008, the Sport Industry Research Center (SIRC) at Temple University is a collaborative research center that partners with organizations to enhance the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of sport — working with clients ranging from the NBA and NCAA to local school districts, parks and recreation departments, and community nonprofits. Long embedded in Philadelphia’s sport-based youth development community, SIRC is convening a Youth Sports Tax and Revenue Policy Consortium through Empower Every Coach to develop strategies that put youth sports on a more sustainable financial footing.
